About Me

Barbara began her investment industry career in 2013 and joined Stifel in 2023. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Math and Economics from Allegheny College and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Barbara attained both the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor™ and Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ designations, which identify those individuals who have received specialized training in wealth management and risk mitigation strategies, portfolio development, tax-efficient investment strategies, and estate planning issues. She holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses. Barbara joined the industry to help clients navigate the transitions they face and illustrate that planning is a form of dreaming.

In 2024, Barbara attained the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® designation. She attained this designation to gain a better understanding of the divorce process in working with clients and their legal and tax advisors as it relates to clients’ overall investment planning and wealth management. She helps divorcees think through the financial implications of divorce and develop a realistic picture of their financial situation as they transition to this new lifestyle.

Active in the community, Barbara has been serving as a mentor for the local chapter of SCORE for 13 years. She is the chair of the marketing committee and sits on the executive committee. Barbara enjoys supporting and encouraging our local entrepreneurs and small business community.

Barbara’s three grown sons are her life’s work, and her favorite pastime is spending time with her family and friends. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, knitting, running, skiing, reading, hiking, and any activity that gets her in or around the beautiful waters that surround her in Northern Michigan.

Use of the CDFA designation does not imply that Stifel or its associates are acting as experts in this field, nor do Stifel or its Financial Advisors provide legal or mediation advice. The knowledge gained from attaining the designation helps the advisor better understand the divorce process in working with clients and their legal and tax advisors as it relates to the client’s overall investment planning and wealth management.
